News India Live, Digital Desk: Health Ministry Update: There is good news for thousands of medical graduates who are eagerly waiting for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 counseling for admission to their postgraduate (MD/MS) courses. According to reports, this counseling process is expected to start by mid-october by mid-October. The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has given updates about this after a conversation with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare).

Actually, NEET PG counseling is conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), which is a very important step to give seats in MD (MD), MS (MS) and other postgraduate courses. Due to some legal processes going on in the Supreme Court, there has been a slight delay in counseling schedule this time.

How is the entire process of NEET PG 2025 counseling?
NEET PG 2025 Counseling will mainly be organized in online mode by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). It has to follow different stages:

  1. Online registration: First of all, candidates will have to register themselves by visiting the official website of MCC (Mccc.nic.in). In this, they have to use their NEET PG 2025 details and submit the registration fee online.
  2. Choice filling and locking: After registration, the candidates will have to fill the courses and colleges of their choice carefully. You have to choose your preferences (choice) very carefully, and also “lock” them within a fixed time frame.
  3. Seat allotment: Allotment of seats will be done on the basis of your NEET PG rank, preferences you have filled, availability of seats and reservation criteria.
  4. Reporting to allotted college: Once you get a seat, you have to go to allotted college and get all your necessary documents verified within the stipulated time and will have to complete admission formalities.

This counseling process is mainly in four rounds: Round 1 (round 1), round 2 (round 2), mop-up round (Mop-up round) and then Stray Vacancy Round. All these rounds are to fill all available seats in MD/MS/PG Diploma courses (MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses) across India.

Which seats will be counseling for?
MCC conducts counseling for 50% of All India quota seats in Government of India and Dental College, and Deemed/Central Universities Deemed/Central Universities, ESIC and AFMS (AFMS) institutions. The remaining 50% are managed by the State Quota Seats (State Quota seats) by the respective state authorities.
