According to the latest report by ‘Congressional Research Service’ (CRS), the official research wing of the US Parliament, the US Air Force and Navy have suffered heavy losses in the military operation against Iran. In this war, at least 42 of America’s most expensive fighter planes, Reaper drones and other high-tech aircraft have either been completely turned into debris or have been so damaged that they are unable to fly again. This is the first time in American military history, after the Vietnam and Iraq wars, that an enemy country has destroyed the most modern and invincible weapons of the American Air Force to such an extent.

American treasury got a big blow of Rs 2,41,000 crore
This unprecedented wastage of weapons and fighter planes has had a direct and extremely fatal impact on the American treasury, due to which a heated debate has started even in the US Parliament. Recently, during the hearing of the ‘House Appropriations Subcommittee’ of the US Parliament on May 12, Pentagon’s Acting Controller Jules W. Hurst III admitted this financial devastation in front of the lawmakers.
Giving an official statement, he said, “The estimated expenditure of our ongoing military operations in Iran has increased very dramatically and has crossed 29 billion dollars i.e. about Rs 2,41,000 crore (Rs 2.4 lakh crore).” The main reason for this historic increase in the budget is the huge expenditure on immediately replacing or repairing billions of dollars of military equipment, fighter jets and drones destroyed in the war. Tehran is not ready to back down from its conditions, due to which the American army seems to be badly trapped in the quagmire of this war.
