JD Vance Wife Usha Vance ‘One is my wife, the other is Pakistani Army Chief…’ – This funny statement of JD Vance brought laughter in Switzerland talks

A very interesting and light-hearted moment was witnessed amidst the tense atmosphere of the ongoing high-level diplomatic talks between America and Iran at the Bergenstock Resort in Switzerland. America’s Vice President JD Vance made a witty comment about his favorite Indian and Pakistani people, which has sparked a new discussion in the international media. When JD Vance addressed the journalists after the conversation, he laughingly revealed the names of the two most special characters of his life, one of whom is Indian and the other Pakistani.

“Two very important people in my life…”- Vance’s funny punch in front of Shahbaz Sharif

US Vice President JD Vance narrated a very unique story while trying to create a balance between India and Pakistan in his own special style. He told, “Ever since Field Marshal Asim Munir welcomed us along with the Prime Minister in Islamabad, I have been saying one thing jokingly. There are two very important people in my life right now – an Indian and a Pakistani. The Indian is my wife (Usha Vance) and the Pakistani is Field Marshal Munir.”

When JD Vance made this funny statement, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir and Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani himself were present right next to him. Hearing this wit of Vance, all the global leaders and diplomats present there could not stop laughing.

Lots of praise for General Asim Munir, described as an excellent diplomat

After joking, JD Vance, being very serious, openly praised the leadership of Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir. Praising Munir’s contribution on the global stage, he said, “During the last three months, I have probably had more conversations with General Munir than any other person or politician in the world. The peace deal that America and Iran are sitting at today at the table, without his deep wisdom and excellent military leadership, we would never have reached this point. He has proven himself to be an excellent and far-sighted diplomat in this period of crisis.”

Interestingly, just a few days before praising Asim Munir, JD Vance had jokingly said during a press conference in Washington that the press does not have complete freedom in Pakistan. He made this comment when journalists were asking him why America delayed so much in making public the terms of the peace agreement with Iran.

Vance narrated the story of marriage: When the mother, after listening to the Indian daughter-in-law, asked – “Which tribe?”

US Vice President JD Vance often shares beautiful stories of his 12-year-old inter-faith marriage with his wife Usha Vance on public platforms. Usha Vance’s parents were originally from Andhra Pradesh, India, who later settled in America. Recently, during a famous podcast interview, Vance shared a very funny and old family incident related to his mother and Usha.

Vance laughingly said that when he first informed his mother that he was in love with a girl named Usha, who is an Indian, his mother innocently asked, “Okay, but which tribe does she belong to?” Vance clarified that her mother’s question reflected a segment of American society’s limited knowledge of other cultures, and was not an attempt to mock or belittle Usha’s background or India’s rich history.

Let us tell you that JD Vance and Usha first met in 2010 while studying at the prestigious Law School of Yale University. After four years of close friendship and courtship, the couple got married in 2014 with rituals of different religions, including traditional Hindu rituals and ceremonies. Presently the couple has three children and soon they are going to become parents of their fourth child.
