Two-two EPIC card charge-Election Commission sent notice to MP and MLC:

Post

Bihar sir controversy: During the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) drive in Bihar, the echo of disturbances in the voter list has intensified. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has alleged that Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP Veena Devi and her husband, JDU Legislative Council Member (MLC) Dinesh Singh have two EPIC (Voter ID) cards.

What is the whole matter?

Veena Devi (MP, Vaishali, LJP) and Dinesh Singh (MLC, JD-U):

Tejashwi shared the screenshot of the Draft Voter List of the Election Commission on X (Twitter) claiming that Veena Devi has two EPIC cards – UT01134543 and GSB1037894.

His age is also said to be different in both cards.

Both are recorded in the voter list in different Lok Sabha constituencies-once in their constituency and second time in Muzaffarpur.

Dinesh Singh:

For him too, a two -class voter entry was shared.

Tejashwi’s allegations

“Is it not an electoral corruption? EC NDA is working to confirm the victory.”

The Election Commission accused of disturbing the voter list and working in favor of BJP-led NDA.

Tejashwi questioned, “Will EC accept these disturbances?”

Election Commission action

The EC has issued a notice to both Veena Devi and Dinesh Singh – sought a reply.

Similarly, Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Sinha was also accused of two voter ID – he was also notice of EC.

Veena Devi and Dinesh Singh are shown as voters in two different places-EC wants an answer.

Political temperature

Due to the proximity of the assembly elections, the debate on the voter list under the SIR, the fake voter ID and the electoral honesty are hot.

Tejashwi Yadav alleges that this disturbance is being deliberately happening in the election process to benefit the NDA.
