Train will pass through the world’s highest Chenab rail bridge

Vande Bharat trains in India are expanding rapidly and now it has become possible to reach Kashmir. Vande Bharat train was already running till Katra in Jammu, but due to lack of railway tracks till Kashmir, this service could not reach there. Now, after the completion of the new Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project, Vande Bharat is also ready to run in the Kashmir Valley.

Train will pass through the highest bridge of Chenab river

This train will pass through the world’s highest railway bridge on the Chenab River in Reasi sector. It is 1315 meters long and 359 meters higher than the river floor, making it even higher than the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris. This bridge has been completed recently after several years of construction work.

PM Modi will inaugurate on April 19

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off this historic train on 19 April. The Vande Bharat train will run from Jammu to Srinagar, which will make it possible to reach common people through the train to the valley. With the start of the train, passengers will get the benefit of convenient and fast travel.

Promotion of tourism and economic development

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Kavinder Gupta said that “This historic achievement will promote connectivity, trade, industry and employment in Jammu and Kashmir.” This project will also give a new way to tourism and economic development.

272 km long railway project

PM Modi will flag this train from Katra railway station in Jammu Rail Division. This train is part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project, which is 272 km in total. This rail link is built through many high mountains and tunnels. It took more than three decades to complete and was approved in 1994-95.
