Rules for donating lamps for ancestors (Deepak Upay)

It is considered extremely fruitful to perform these measures for the ancestors after sunset this evening:

South facing lamp: home on new moon evening South Direction Light a mustard oil lamp. South direction is considered the direction of ancestors. While lighting the lamp, meditate on your ancestors and pray to them for happiness and peace.

Near Peepal tree: It is auspicious to light a mustard oil lamp under a Peepal tree in the evening. It is believed that ancestors reside in Peepal tree. After lighting the lamp, revolve around it seven times.

At the main entrance of the house: Light lamps on both sides of the main entrance of the house. Due to this, negative energy does not enter the house and the ancestors are happy and give blessings.

Ghee lamp in north-east corner: Light a cow ghee lamp in the temple or north-east corner of the house. This keeps the blessings of Gods and Goddesses.

Near a river or reservoir: If possible, donate a lamp near a holy river or reservoir. If this is not possible, then light a lamp in a clean place or temple near the house.
