News India Live, Digital Desk: If you are from Jharkhand and a child in your house is dreaming of becoming a doctor, then this news is no less than a Diwali gift for you. 200 MBBS seats have been increased simultaneously in the medical colleges of the state. This one decision has brought smiles on the faces of thousands of students and their families.

After this increase, the total MBBS seats in all the 10 government and private medical colleges of Jharkhand have increased from 1055. 1255 Has happened.

In which colleges seats increased, how much was the benefit?

This bumper increase has been given to two private medical colleges of the state, which have received approval from the National Medical Commission (NMC):

  1. Lakshmi Chandravanshi Medical College, Palamu: There were already 100 seats in this college, which are now 50 seats increased to 150 Has been done.
  2. Manipal Tata Medical College, Jamshedpur: to this college 150 new seats together But admission has been approved. This is a big beginning for this college.

How will the game change for students?

The increase in seats simply means that now more children will get a chance to become doctors.

  • Cut-off will be lower: The biggest advantage will be that the ranking and cut-off marks of NEET UG will come down. This means that now a new ray of hope has arisen for those children who missed admission by some marks.
  • The compulsion to go out will reduce: Due to less seats, many promising students of Jharkhand had to turn to expensive private colleges in other states. Now they will be able to study while staying in their own state, which will reduce the financial burden on them and their families.
  • There will be shortage of doctors in the state: And most importantly, when 200 more doctors emerge every year, it will help a lot in removing the acute shortage of doctors in the villages and small towns of the state.

What is the situation of other colleges?

At present, the number of seats in 6 government medical colleges of the state (RIMS, MGM, SNMMCH and three new colleges) is only 680. Similarly, there is no change in seats in other two private colleges also.

But the addition of 200 new seats is such a big and positive news, which will take the health and education sector of Jharkhand to new heights in the coming times.
