On this special occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, after paying floral tributes at the statue of Sardar Patel located at GPO Park, ‘Run for Unity’ Gave the green flag to the race and himself gave the message of unity by participating in this race.

Addressing thousands of youth, sportspersons and common citizens present, CM Yogi said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had laid the foundation of today’s ‘One India, Best India’ by uniting more than 563 princely states. At that time, he had given a befitting reply to the forces conspiring to break the country.

Talking in today’s context, CM Yogi said in a warning tone, “Even today, those who are conspiring to divide the society in the name of caste, creed, religion, language and region and playing with the integrity of the country, they should listen with open ears, none of their plans will succeed. This country will no longer tolerate any kind of division.”

He further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today’s India is realizing the dreams of Sardar Patel and there will be no compromise on the internal and external security of the country.

Gave the youth a ‘pledge of unity’

CM Yogi called upon the youth to take inspiration from the life of Sardar Patel. He said, “This race is not just a symbolic run, but it reflects our resolve towards the unity and integrity of the country. We have to take a pledge that we will not allow any force to succeed that tries to weaken our country.”

This ‘Run for Unity’ started from GPO Park and ended at KD Singh Babu Stadium, in which people from every section of the society participated with full enthusiasm. This strong message of CM Yogi was clearly for those who from time to time try to spread separatism or disharmony within the country.
