Amidst the activation of monsoon in Jharkhand, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a major alert for many parts of the state. The weather pattern is going to change completely within the next few hours in 11 districts of the state including the capital Ranchi and neighboring district Khunti. There is a possibility of heavy thunderstorms along with heavy rain and lightning.
Danger of celestial disaster is looming over these 11 districts
According to the latest bulletin of Meteorological Center Ranchi, due to the influence of the system formed in the Bay of Bengal, heavy movements are being seen in the central and southern parts of Jharkhand. Apart from Ranchi and Khunti, there is a strong possibility of heavy showers along with thunderstorms in the districts of Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Gumla, Lohardaga, Bokaro, Dhanbad, and Kolhan divisions.
Strict instructions from Meteorological Department: Be careful of thunderstorms
In view of the bad weather, IMD has issued a yellow alert for the general public and especially the farmers. Meteorologists say that there is a serious danger of lightning (thunderstorm) during rains. In such a situation, people have been advised to avoid standing in open fields, under trees or near electric poles.
Difficulties will increase as the speed of the storm increases
Along with rain, strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour are also expected in these districts. This may cause damage to kutcha houses and hoardings. The local administration has also been asked to remain alert to deal with the situation of water logging and traffic jams in urban areas.
