News India Live, Digital Desk: Amidst the conflict in the Middle East, a news has come out which has left the entire world in a state of shock. A huge amount of uranium reserves are hidden beneath the soil of Iran, due to which the restlessness of America and Israel has reached its peak. According to intelligence reports, Iran has hidden about 450 kg of highly enriched uranium in secure bunkers underground. This quantity is so high that many nuclear bombs can be easily prepared from it. Now the question arises whether America will be successful in taking back or destroying this ‘nuclear treasure’ from Iran?

Hazardous materials stored in nuclear bunkers

Iran has built impenetrable bunkers in the mountains and hundreds of feet underground to protect its nuclear program. Experts believe that this stockpile of 450 kg of uranium is present within nuclear centers like Natanz and Fordow. This uranium is said to be enriched up to 60 percent, which is very close to weapons-grade. The biggest challenge for America’s defense strategists is that these bases are so deep that it is impossible for them to be affected by conventional air attacks.

‘Do or die’ situation before Biden administration

The White House is under immense pressure at this time. On one hand, Iran is rapidly moving towards becoming a nuclear power, while on the other hand, the pressure of military action from Israel on America is increasing. American intelligence agencies are trying to somehow ‘retrieve’ (return) this uranium or send it out of the country through diplomatic agreements. However, Iran’s stubborn stance has ruined these possibilities. For US President Joe Biden, this has become the biggest foreign policy test of this election year.

Is military operation the last resort?

According to defense experts, America has the option of ‘bunker buster’ bombs to neutralize this 450 kg uranium, but this operation can throw the entire region into a devastating war. Iran has made it clear that it will not compromise with its sovereignty. If America tries to snatch this nuclear stockpile, Iran can launch a fierce counterattack on American bases in the Gulf countries. In such a situation, the eyes of the whole world are fixed on whether a solution will be found through talks or whether the Middle East sitting on a pile of gunpowder will burst into flames.
