This time, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has directly launched a scathing attack on Tejashwi Yadav, the chief ministerial face of the grand alliance. Owaisi’s anger has erupted after Tejashwi’s statement in which he had termed parties like AIMIM as “extremist” and “extremist”.

Recently, during a rally, Tejashwi Yadav had cautioned the voters not to get misled by such “extremist” forces who work to harvest votes. His direct reference was towards Owaisi’s party AIMIM and some other small parties.

Owaisi’s strong counterattack

Asaduddin Owaisi got very angry on this statement of Tejashwi. In a press conference, he replied to Tejashwi Yadav in his own language and raised serious questions on the secularism of the Grand Alliance.

Owaisi said, “Tejashwi Yadav says that we are extremists. If we are extremists, then are the parties in the Grand Alliance washed of milk? Their ally Congress is running the government in Maharashtra along with Shiv Sena. Is Shiv Sena secular?”

he adds, “If Tejashwi thinks we are extremists, then he should not align his party RJD with the Congress. What is he doing with people who are sitting in power with a ‘Hindutva’ party (Shiv Sena)? What kind of secularism is this?”

“Abusing me won’t help you.”

Taking direct aim at Tejashwi, Owaisi said that merely abusing him will not do any good to Tejashwi Yadav. He said, “You call us Votekatwa, BJP’s B-team. You call me anything, but the people of Bihar have now become wise. They know that they have been cheated for the last many years.”

This time AIMIM is contesting elections on many Muslim dominated seats in Bihar. It is believed that Owaisi’s presence may spoil the ‘MY’ (Muslim-Yadav) equation of the Grand Alliance, which is likely to directly benefit the NDA. This is the reason why Tejashwi Yadav is constantly attacking Owaisi, and now Owaisi has also made the fight more interesting by counterattacking.
