News India Live, Digital Desk: With the departure of monsoon, the weather of Jharkhand has started taking a turn. Even though slight heat of the sun may be felt during the day, the slight coolness in the morning and evening is indicating that the winter season is not far away. A significant drop in minimum temperature has been recorded in many districts including the capital Ranchi, due to which people have started removing light warm clothes in the morning and evening.
Why is the weather pattern changing?
According to Ranchi-based Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the effect of monsoon has now completely ended in the state and the sky has become clear. Also, cold winds coming from North India have started entering Jharkhand. Due to this, the night temperature is falling and people are feeling slight shivering in the morning and evening.
Coldest day of the season in Ranchi, mercury dropped to 15 degrees
According to the Meteorological Department, a major change has been seen in the weather of the state in the last 24 hours. Ranchi’s minimum temperature falls 15.6 degrees Celsius Reached, which is the lowest temperature of this season so far. Apart from Ranchi, districts like Gumla and Lohardaga are also recording minimum temperatures between 15 to 16 degrees Celsius.
However, due to sunshine during the day, the maximum temperature still remains around 30 degrees Celsius. This huge difference in temperature between day and night can also become a challenge for health.
Cold will increase further in the coming days
Meteorologists have predicted that the night temperature may drop further by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the coming two to three days. This means that the feeling of cold will increase further. It is expected that by the second week of November, severe cold will be felt in Jharkhand and people will have to take out their heavy warm clothes and blankets. At present the weather remains dry in the state and there is no possibility of rain.
