During the Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand, a very sad and painful news has come out from Badrinath National Highway. In the early hours of Friday morning, a tempo traveler filled with devotees suddenly lost control and overturned on the road at a place called ‘Paini’ near Jyotirmath (Joshimath). After this horrific accident, there was an outcry on the spot.
All these devotees were going from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh to visit Badrinath Dham. At the time of the accident, a total of 18 people including the driver were traveling in the vehicle, out of which most of the passengers suffered serious injuries.

Rescue team reached the spot as soon as information was received
As soon as the administration received the news of this horrific accident, the local police and health department teams immediately reached the spot without wasting time. The injured passengers, who were badly trapped inside the damaged vehicle, were rescued safely with the help of cutters and other resources.
Treatment is going on in the hospital
All the 16 injured were immediately admitted to the nearest Community Health Center (CHC) through emergency service 108 and other available ambulances. The team of doctors is continuously engaged in the care and treatment of the injured. However, the accident forever snatched away Aarti, a woman pilgrim from Ghaziabad, who died on the spot. The police have informed the relatives of the deceased and have started further legal action.
Such accidents often become a matter of concern due to sudden change in weather on hilly roads or loss of control on turns. The administration has appealed to the passengers to pay special attention to the speed limit while driving in the mountains.
