News India Live, Digital Desk: Terror of Poisonous Snake: In Lohardaga district of Jharkhand, snake bite caused a painful death of the grandfather and grandson of the same family. This heartbreaking incident took place on Thursday night at the house of Musahib Khan in Kisko village panchayat of Lohardaga police station area of Batra village. According to family members and local people, both were bitten by the snake, after which they were immediately rushed to Lohardaga Sadar Hospital for treatment, but both of them died on the way before reaching the hospital. The incident causes an atmosphere of mourning in the entire village and the victim’s family is in deep shock. On Thursday night, the first seven and a half year olds, Muhammad Soaab, who was the grandson of Musahib Khan, was bitten by the snake. Instead of taking Sayeb to the hospital, the family started to sweep by an exorcist in the village. Meanwhile, the child’s grandfather Musahib Khan, while the child was getting treatment, was also bitten by the snake. When the condition deteriorated, the family took him to Lohardaga Sadar Hospital at around one and a half hours. On reaching the hospital, the doctors declared both Muhammad Soeb and Musahib Khan dead. According to the doctor, if the victims were given anti-venum injections on time, their lives could be saved. In cases of snake bites, it has often been observed that patients are delayed due to depending on the rural treatment, and this delay proves to be fatal. Lohardaga police reached the spot as soon as the incident was received and after the Panchnama, the bodies were sent to Sadar Hospital for post -mortem. After the post -mortem, both the bodies were handed over to the family on Friday, and the funeral was performed in Batra village. There is an atmosphere of sorrow in the village due to this double death. This incident once again underlines the importance of awareness and quick medical aid of snake bite in rural areas, so that such tragic accidents can be prevented.
