The Indian team is doing well in the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup in Malaysia. Team India made it to the Super Six without losing a single match in the group phase and now started this phase with victory.
India defeated Scotland by a margin of 150 runs in the Super Six match to register their biggest win in the World Cup. Batting first in the match, India scored 208/1 runs in 20 overs, in response to which the Scotland team was dismissed for just 58 runs in 14 overs.
Gogadi Trisha and other batsmen make India a big score
Scotland won the toss and decided to bowl first, which proved to be a complete mistake. Ji Kamalini and Gogadi Trisha, who came to start the innings from the Indian team, batted brilliantly. Together, both of them created trouble for the opposition bowlers and scored 147 runs for the first wicket. Kamalini’s wicket fell in the 14th over and she was dismissed for 51 runs with the help of 9 fours off 42 balls.
Trisha continued batting in a tremendous manner and turned her half -century into a century. She also became the first batsman to score a century in the history of the tournament. Trisha remained unbeaten till the end and scored 110 runs off 59 balls, including 13 fours and 4 sixes. Sanika Chalke also played an unbeaten innings of 29 runs in 20 balls with the help of five fours. Messi Masira got Scotland’s only wicket.
Scotland’s batting order completely failed
The attempt of Scotland, chasing the target, failed from the beginning. The team lost 3 wickets for 35 runs and then the score was 48/9. Kirsty McCal was the last wicket and Scotland’s innings ended in just 14 overs. Gogadi Trisha, who batted brilliantly for Team India, also performed well in bowling and took three wickets. Ayushi Shukla took the most four wickets, while Vaishnavi Sharma took three wickets.
