Team India won the first two matches of the five -match T20 International series, but the hosts lost in the third match. At one time it seemed that the Indian team would win this match comfortably, but this could not happen. Captain Suryakumar Yadav told after the match what was the turning point of this defeat. He described the wickets of Akshar Patel and Hardik Pandya as a significant turn and said that as long as both these batsmen were at the crease, India was in the match.

Suryakumar Yadav said in the post match presentation, “I thought there would be some dew after the match. When Hardik and Akshar were batting, we thought that the match was in our hands. The right to this credit goes to Adil Rashid, who bowled brilliantly. He did not give us a chance to rotate the strike, and that is why he is considered a world -class bowler. We had many spinners in the team, such as Varun Chakraborty, Ravi Bishnoi and Akshar Patel, who were important in the match. ”

Suryakumar further appreciated Varun Chakraborty and said, “We always learn something new from T20 matches. We have to improve from the batting perspective. We have to do better next time by learning from our mistakes. I am sure Shami will perform better in the next matches. Varun (Chakravarti) is truly working hard in practice sessions, he is disciplined and his hard work is giving good results on the field. ”

After three matches, the series is on a scorline of 2–1 and two matches are still left. The fourth match will be played in Pune on 31 January, while the final match will be held on 2 February.
