News India Live, Digital Desk: RJD MP’s Controversial Statement: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Surendra Prasad Yadav has recently given a controversial statement, in which he said that India’s situation is going to be worse than Pakistan. The leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Janata Dal (United) (JDU) have reacted sharply to his statement and termed it as ‘mental bankruptcy’.

RJD MP Surendra Yadav, who has made many controversial comments earlier, made this comment during a conversation with the media. He expressed his concern citing the current situation, rising unemployment, corruption and weakening economy of the country and said that due to these problems, India’s condition could be worse than Pakistan. This is not the first time that Surendra Yadav is surrounded by controversies over his statements. Earlier, he had made a statement against the Agnivirs and advised BJP workers to marry their daughters, causing a lot of uproar in the political corridors.

Reacting to his latest statement, BJP spokesperson Nikhil Anand described Surendra Yadav’s statement as a complete mental bankruptcy and disappointment. He said that such a statement is against national interest and integrity. Anand also added that Surendra Yadav is tarnishing the image of Bihar and this is the right time to treat his mental bankruptcy. At the same time, senior JDU leader Neeraj Kumar attacked RJD and said that his leaders want to see India on the lines of Pakistan, which reflects his anti-national culture. Neeraj Kumar described Surendra Yadav’s remarks as part of ‘illiterate and petty politics’ and questioned the RJD’s ideology. He advised the RJD to stay away from such statements.

This dispute has come up at a time when various political parties of the country are accusing each other, especially on unemployment and economic issues. This statement has further enhanced the country’s political gully, where the opposition parties are trying to surround the government on various issues and the ruling parties are calling such statements anti-national.
