Cricket star Virat Kohli is often in the discussion about his sports achievements, but this time his name has come in a surprising police complaint. The complaint has been allegedly made during an event related to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Bangalore with an alleged stampede, in which some fans have been injured.
Actually, this complaint has been made by Dhruv Jha, a fan of Samaj Sevi and RCB. His complaint states that the incident was allegedly celebrating RCB’s IPL 2025 ‘victory’, although it is strange because the IPL 2025 has not been played yet. The original report of Zee News also mentions that the complaint relates to the program that was recently held in the city to honor the RCB women’s cricket team (after their victory in WPL).
Dhruv Jha has alleged in his petition that fans have suffered injuries due to Virat Kohli and “negligence” of the organizers in the event. He has raised the matter of lack of security and mob management, causing such an incident. The police have currently registered a complaint and will now investigate the matter.
This incident shows how important it is to ensure congestion management and safety in events associated with popular celebrities. The responsibility of controlling and ensuring the excessive enthusiasm of the fans is also on the organizers and the names associated with them. Only after the police investigation will be able to know how much responsibility is made in this case.
