News India Live, Digital Desk: Manoj Bajpayee, who came from the soil of Bihar and has earned name all over the world with his acting, rarely gets angry. But when it comes, he expresses his views openly. This time the reason for their anger has been Bihar politics and a ‘fake video’, which was shared by a social media handle associated with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).

What was in that viral video?

The atmosphere for the 2025 assembly elections has already started forming in Bihar and political parties are trying every trick to woo the voters. Meanwhile, the video of an old interview of Manoj Bajpayee was distorted and presented as if he was speaking against a particular party and appealing to people to vote for RJD.

As soon as this video went viral, it reached Manoj Bajpayee also. What happened next might not have been expected even by those who spread the video.

Manoj Bajpayee gave a befitting reply

Manoj Bajpayee did not think it right to remain silent on this fraud. He termed the video as “sheer lies and deception” on social media. He clearly said that he is an actor, not a politician, and he should be kept away from this “cheap politics”.

He wrote, “This is a very cheap move. I am an actor and my art does not belong to any one party, but to the people of Bihar and the country. Please do not drag my work into politics.” His anger was over how someone could misuse his name and his art to win elections.

Why was Manoj Bajpayee’s name used?

It is no hidden thing that Manoj Bajpayee is the ‘son of Bihar’. He has a very clean, honest and respectable image among the people. At the time of elections, parties often want to use such faces on whom people trust. Perhaps for this reason an attempt was made to cut his old video and use it as a political weapon.

This tough stance of Manoj Bajpayee has made it clear that he will not allow his art and his identity to become a pawn of any political party. He has also given a message to his fans and the people of Bihar to beware of such ‘fake news’.
