This time India has sent its most powerful aircraft carrier for help. INS Vikrant Has been deployed. This is a huge step for any relief work. The Defense Ministry has also confirmed that helicopters and aircraft from INS Vikrant will be used to rescue people stranded amid the storm. India started this mission ‘Operation Sagar Bandhu’ Name given.
Expressing condolences to the people of Sri Lanka on social media, PM Modi said, “India stands strongly with Sri Lanka in this hour of crisis. We are ready to provide all possible help.”

After wreaking havoc in Sri Lanka, this storm is no longer resting. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that ‘Ditwa’ is now moving towards north-west direction. This will have a direct impact on the southern states of India.

The time from the evening of 29th November to the morning of 30th November is very critical. This storm will pass near the coasts of North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh.
