Two statues of the same god: According to Vastu, there should not be two or more idols or images of the same deity in the same temple. This increases tension in the house.

Broken Statue: If any idol is broken or the picture is torn, remove it immediately. Worship of broken idols brings negativity.

Statue bigger than thumb: The idol of Shivalinga or any deity in the home temple should never be larger than the size of the thumb. Large idols require consecration and special rules which are possible only in temples.
