There he proved his administrative skills as an Assistant Collector and SDM and made many major reforms at the local level. However, she was later transferred from West Bengal to Bihar cadre under the cadre change rules of the Central Government (inter-cadre transfer policy on marriage or other special family grounds). As soon as he entered the Bihar administrative corridor, his working style started being praised all around.
