Due to shortage of staff, more than 2500 flights have been canceled so far, causing an atmosphere of chaos at the airport. Flights at 40 major airports can be reduced by up to 10%.
• Government services stopped: National parks, museums and many other government offices are locked. The crisis on food assistance (food stamps) to the poor has also deepened.
• Big loss to the economy: Experts believe that this shutdown could cause a loss of billions of dollars every week to the American economy, which could also slow down the rate of economic growth.
