News India Live, Digital Desk: situated in the capital of Uttar Pradesh Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) Now it is preparing to top the list of most modern hospitals not only of the state but also of the country. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, SGPGI AIIMS (AIIMS) And a high-level committee has been formed to equip it with global level medical facilities.

What will be new? (The Mega Upgrade)

The main objective of this rejuvenation is to save patients from the compulsion of going to Delhi or abroad. The following major changes will be made under the scheme:

State-of-the-Art Infrastructure: The wards, ICU and emergency units of the hospital will be completely equipped with digital and robotic technology.

Increase in the number of beds: In view of the increasing number of patients, the number of super-specialty beds will be increased significantly.

World Class Research Centre: A separate wing will be created here for research, so that cheap treatment for incurable diseases can be found.

Hybrid Operation Theatre: State-of-the-art hybrid OT will be created for complex surgeries.

Responsibility of high-level committee

This special committee formed under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary will submit its detailed report to the government in the next few weeks. The committee will prepare a blueprint as to which new machines are to be installed in the institute and which departments need to be expanded to meet international standards. For this, special budget allocation is also being prepared by the government.

The expansion of facilities at SGPGI will provide relief to lakhs of patients coming not only from Uttar Pradesh, but also from Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Nepal. Now they will not have to wait for months for serious diseases and will be able to get the best treatment at affordable rates.
