Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) and Delhi Traffic Police are organizing ‘Special Lok Adalat’ today, February 14, in seven major court complexes in the capital. This campaign is being run to reduce the burden of old and pending challans.

Don’t worry if you miss registration, ‘Walk-in’ facility also available

It is often seen that people miss the deadline for token registration, but this time you do not need to be disappointed. If you have not been able to get the token online, you can still go directly to the court premises. at multiple centers Walk-in Facility has been provided, where the lawyers and officers present on the spot will help you. You can directly go there and give details of your pending challans and get them settled as per the legal process.

Proceedings will run from 10 am to 4 pm in these 7 court premises.

From helmet to overspeeding: You will get huge discount on these challans

Lok Adalat mainly considers those challans which fall in the compoundable category. This includes challans like not wearing helmet, ignoring seat belt, jumping red light, overspeeding, not having valid PUC and wrong parking. In many cases the court significantly reduces the amount of the challan or can even cancel it. However, there will be no relief here in serious cases like hit-and-run, driving by a minor and illegal racing.
