Sandeep Ghosh House Demolition: Bulldozer set to roll over former Principal Sandeep Ghosh’s house! Kolkata Municipal Corporation issues ultimatum; only 2 days remain Sandeep Ghosh House Demolition: Bulldozer will run on the house of former principal Sandeep Ghosh! Kolkata Municipal Corporation’s ultimatum, only 2 days left

The troubles of Sandeep Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, are not showing any signs of abating. On one hand, while he is spending days behind the bars after being arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case of major financial corruption and serious scams in the hospital, on the other hand, now the noose of the law has tightened completely on his luxurious residence. Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has issued a final order to immediately raze the illegal portions of Sandeep Ghosh’s Beleghata residence on serious charges of flagrant violation of building rules and illegal construction. It is clear from this swift action of the Municipal Corporation that now complete preparations have been made to bulldoze not only corruption but also their illegal empire.

In fact, on May 20 itself, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation had given a strict order to completely demolish a large part of the roof and some other illegal constructions of the house of Sandeep Ghosh, the controversial former principal of the RG Kar Medical College. He is accused of getting this construction done without getting the approval and map passed by the Municipal Corporation. For this, the civic body had given a strict deadline of 45 days to Sandeep Ghosh’s family to voluntarily remove the illegal portion. But even after so many days, no vandalism was done there by Ghosh’s family. Now only two days are left for the deadline to be met, in view of which KMC has intensified its action.

The notice was received two years ago, but the matter was kept suppressed due to influence.

According to senior Kolkata Municipal Corporation officials, a special technical team of KMC had recently made a surprise visit to Sandeep Ghosh’s Beleghata residence and took detailed measurements of the illegal construction done there. The investigation revealed a very shocking fact that the Municipal Corporation’s Building Department team had sent an official notice to Ghosh’s family about two years ago regarding this illegal construction. But due to his influence and position, Sandeep Ghosh had put this matter on hold.

Now that after the RG Kar Hospital case, all-round legal punishment has fallen on Sandeep Ghosh, the municipal body has also made it clear that no culprit will be spared. With just two days left for the deadline, KMC has pasted another final notice at Ghosh’s house. Officials say that if the family itself does not demolish the illegal portion within the next two days, the bulldozer squad of the Municipal Corporation will reach there with heavy police force and will forcefully demolish the illegal construction, the entire cost of which will also be recovered from Sandeep Ghosh.

Know where this house is and which rules were violated

According to the official information received from KMC, this controversial and luxurious house of Sandeep Ghosh is located at the address ’83, Badan Roy Lane’ located in Beleghata area of Kolkata. The investigation report has revealed that a total of three different parts of this property, registered in the name of Sandeep Ghosh and his wife Sangeeta Ghosh, were built illegally without any government approval.

This construction is in direct and serious violation of Rule 133 and Rule 134 of the Building Rules of Kolkata Municipal Corporation established in 2009. As per the rules, it is completely prohibited to construct additional floors or concrete on the roof without checking the structural stability and without permission. Let us tell you that this entire legal investigation and subsequent strict action against Sandeep Ghosh was started on the basis of the written complaint of a local alert citizen named Anshuman Sarkar. When the files were scrutinized again after Anshuman’s complaint, the dark truth about the former principal’s influence came to the fore.
