Sadhu has not taken bath for 32 years

57-year-old Gangapuri Maharaj, who is only 3 feet 8 inches tall, has not taken a bath for the last 32 years. While talking to ANI on this subject, he told:

  • Spiritual reasons:
    He says that Mahakumbh Mela is an opportunity for soul to soul connection, and that is why he is present here.
  • Reasons for not taking bath:
    He told that he has a special wish, which has not been fulfilled in the last 32 years. For this reason he has stopped bathing.

Gangapuri Maharaj also made it clear that he would not even take bath in the river Ganga.

Health effects: Dangers of not bathing daily

Not taking bath daily not only affects personal hygiene, but it can also cause many health problems.

1. Body odor

  • Reason:
    Body odor starts due to sweat and dirt.
  • Effect:
    • Bacteria start growing.
    • There may be problem of itching and red marks on the skin.

2. Risk of skin infection

  • Benefits of daily bathing:
