Russia-Ukraine War: Fierce firing in Russian-occupied Ukraine, 25 killed; Explosion in chemical transport terminal


Kyiv: 25 people were killed in a massive shooting on Sunday at a market on the outskirts of the Russian-occupied city of Donetsk. Alexey Kulamgin, mayor of the Russian-held city, said 20 other people, including two children, were wounded in the attack on the Teksilshchik suburb.

Mayor Alexey Kulamzin claimed that the shells were fired by the Ukrainian military. However, Kiev has not yet commented on the matter.

Explosion in chemical transport terminal

Let us tell you here that on Sunday itself, a fire broke out in the chemical transport terminal at Russia's Ust-Luga port after two explosions. According to local media, Ukraine had attacked the port with a drone. After this the gas tank exploded. A fire broke out at the site of Novatek, Russia's second-largest producer of natural gas. Russian officials said there were no casualties in the attack, but the district was put on high alert.

Capture of a village in Kharkiv region of Ukraine

The Russian army has established control over Krokhmalne, a village in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry gave this information on Sunday and the Ukrainian military spokesperson also confirmed it. Earlier on Thursday, Russia's Defense Ministry had informed about the capture of a settlement named Vesley in eastern Donetsk, Ukraine.
