More than 100 people are expected to be killed in the attacks in Sudan’s Darfur area from Friday. The dead include at least 20 children. It was said that the attack was carried out by the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces (RSF). According to the United Nations (UN), RSF launched grounds and airstrikes on Al-Fashar city and nearby Zamzam and Abu hobby displaced camps. The United Nations Coordination in Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on Saturday that the attacks had caused havoc in camps that were already struggling with famine.
The movement group called general coordination of displaced persons and refugees said that the attacks started on Thursday and continued till Saturday. In these attacks, residential areas, markets and health centers were also targeted, in which hundreds of people including a large number of women were killed or injured…
The RSF denied the allegations and claimed that citizens were not targeted at the Zamzam camp. He said that the video broadcast on social media is a propaganda spread by the army, which includes fake scenes to discredit RSF. The RSF accuses its commitment to international human rights laws and accused the army of diverting attention from real offenses.
