Relief to EPFO ​​subscribers, these documents will no longer be required for claim processing

EPFO New Rules: The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has made the claim process easier for its customers. This will benefit its crores of customers. EPFO ​​has recently issued a circular saying that now there will be no need to upload bank passbook and checkbook copies for claims. Customers have got relief from this decision of EPFO.

EPFO said that if the subscriber fulfills all the other eligibility criteria then he does not need to upload a check book or passbook copy. EPFO ​​said that this will lead to faster settlement of online claims. This will make it easier for subscribers to submit claim requests. In fact, earlier many EPFO ​​claims were rejected for not uploading a copy of the check book leaf or bank passbook.

According to the EPFO ​​circular, this decision has been taken to reduce the number of claim rejections. Permission not to upload a copy of the check book leaf or bank passbook has been given only in certain cases.

You can claim it this way

• EPF members can verify bank KYC online.

• Members have to obtain DSC (Digital Signature Certificate) through employer to complete bank KYC verification.

• Aadhaar details of the bank must be verified by UIDAI.

How to make a claim online

• Visit the official website of EPFO ​​https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/.

• Now log in using UAN number and password.

• Then select the Claim section, choose one of the claim options.

• Now cross verify all the information shown on the screen.

• After this, all the necessary documents (documents for EPFO ​​claim) will have to be uploaded.

• Now the member has to verify all the information and submit the claim request.

• Later the claim process will be displayed on the EPFO ​​portal.
