News India Live, Digital Desk: Amidst the ongoing fierce military conflict between Iran and America-Israel in West Asia (Middle East), the Government of Iran has issued a very positive and reassuring message for India. The Iranian Embassy in India has given a clear message through social media regarding the safety of Indian citizens, saying that “Our Indian friends are in safe hands, there is nothing to worry about.”

Strait of Hormuz and India’s security

This statement of the Iranian Embassy has come at a time when the ‘Strait of Hormuz’, considered the center of global energy supply, is almost on the verge of closure due to the war.

Selective blockade: Iran has clarified that it has not completely closed the strait, but has only imposed sanctions on the US, Israel and their allies.

Route to Indian ships: Iran has assured safe passage to merchant ships and oil tankers of ‘friendly countries’ like India.

Embassy Tweet: The tweet going viral said, “The future of the Strait of Hormuz will be decided only by Iran and Oman. You (Indians) are in safe hands, don’t worry.”

Indian Government’s preparation and rescue operation

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh And the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has also shared the latest updates regarding the security of Indians:

Return of 5.98 lakh Indians: Since the start of the war on 28 February 2026, approximately 5,98,000 Indians Have returned home safely. This big rescue operation is being conducted through special ships of Air India and Navy.

Secure Corridor: Indians stranded in Iran (especially students and pilgrims) Armenia and Azerbaijan Is being taken out through ground routes.

No shortage of fuel: Rajnath Singh has assured the country that despite the war, there will be no shortage of petrol, diesel or gas in India. Indian Navy warships are ‘escort’ (providing security) to Indian tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump’s signal to end the war?

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump Has claimed in his address to the nation that America is close to achieving its military goals and this war can end in the next 2-3 weeks. Trump indicated that Iran’s President has reached out for a ceasefire, although Tehran has not yet officially confirmed this.

This ‘friendly’ message from Iran has brought great relief to millions of families whose relatives are still working in Gulf countries or are stranded there.
