In Chanakya Niti, Acharya Chanakya has described many profound aspects of life. He is considered to be India’s greatest economist, politician and sage. His principles even today lead people to success, wealth, fame and prosperity. In his treatise, he has mentioned some signs which indicate that bad times or crisis are about to come.

Withering of basil is a sign which is taken very seriously in the scriptures. Tulsi plant is considered a symbol of Goddess Lakshmi and its presence in the house creates positive energy.

However, if the plant begins to wither or wither without any reason, it is considered a very inauspicious sign. It shows that negative energy is entering the house and financial problems may increase. At such times, one should be alert and take religious or positive steps.

Another sign is domestic discord, i.e. an increase in fights, tension or arguments in the home. If unrest or discord increases in the family without any particular reason, then it is a sign of difficult times to come.

This may cause financial loss, mental stress or rift in relationships. In such a situation, a person should adopt a calm nature, create a religious atmosphere at home and control his speech and behavior.

The third sign is glass breaking. According to Chanakya Niti, if any mirror or glass in the house breaks on its own then it indicates impending misfortune or crisis. It is believed to indicate obstacles or difficulties in one’s destiny. Broken glass should not be kept in the house as it increases poverty and negative energy.

Thus, Acharya Chanakya explained that these small changes in nature and environment give us indications of the future. If a person understands these warnings in time and takes positive steps, he can avoid the bad times to come. Chanakya’s principles teach us that every crisis can be resolved with vigilance, restraint and intelligence.
