1. Redevelopment of Ranchi station: Airport like feel
Ranchi station is being developed as a ‘city centre’ under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme:
Vishal Roof Plaza: A huge roof plaza will be built for the passengers at the station itself for eating, drinking and shopping.
Multi-Level Parking: There will be multi-level car parking facility in the station premises to avoid vehicular jam.
Smart Visibility: New gates and attractive buildings will be constructed to enter the station from both sides.
2. Hatia Yard Remodeling: Speed and number of trains will increase
Remodeling of Hatiya Yard is the most important part of this project. At present many trains have to stop at Outer due to lack of platforms and old yard lines.
New Lines and Platforms: Remodeling of the yard will increase the capacity for maintenance of trains.
Better Connectivity: After remodeling, the way will be cleared to run new long distance trains from Ranchi and Hatia.
Automatic Signalling: State-of-the-art signaling system will be installed for safe and fast movement of trains.
3. Budget & Timeline
