News India Live, Digital Desk: Bihar Controversy: Prashant Kishore, known for his rhetoric and strategy in Bihar politics, has increased the difficulties of Prashant Kishor. The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court of Patna has ordered him to appear personally in an old defamation case. The case was lodged against Prashant Kishore in 2017 by senior JDU leader and state minister Ashok Choudhary.
This incident is of the time when the political warmth was on a rapid pace after changing the alliance in Bihar politics. In fact, in 2017, Prashant Kishore made some comments through a tweet, in which he indirectly targeted Ashok Chaudhary and JDU. Ashok Chaudhary had raised a sharp objection to that tweet by Prashant Kishore and sent him a legal notice. After this, Ashok Chaudhary had filed a case in Patna Civil Court claiming defamation. He alleged that Prashant Kishore has damaged his public image through his statements and tweets and questioned his political reputation.
Now after about eight years, the case has again caught fire. Seeing the seriousness of the case, the court has ordered Prashant Kishore to present himself in the court at 10:30 am on 30 September 2025. It seems that now the legal process in the court in this case will progress rapidly.
Prashant Kishore’s political journey has often been in controversies and headlines. Whether it is to work as an electoral strategist for BJP, JDU, TMC or Congress, or to take out his ‘Jan Suraj’ padyatra in Bihar, they have always been vocal. In such a situation, in the case of defamation against him, this order of the court has become a matter of great discussion in political corridors.
Now it has to be seen what side Prashant Kishore keeps in the court and what is the result of this legal battle. This matter will definitely make more space in both Bihar politics and media in the coming days.
