News India Live, Digital Desk: Bihar Assembly Election: The battle for Bihar assembly elections is heating up. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday made an election campaign in Darbhanga as a star campaigner of BJP and in his aggressive style strongly attacked the ‘Grand Alliance’ of the opposition. Comparing the Grand Alliance to Mahatma Gandhi’s three monkeys, he made a new jibe of ‘Pappu, Tappu and Appu’, which has created a stir in the politics of Bihar.

“Now there are three new monkeys – Pappu, Tappu and Appu”

Addressing a public meeting in Keoti assembly constituency of Darbhanga, CM Yogi said, “Earlier Mahatma Gandhi had three monkeys, but now there are three new types of monkeys in the Grand Alliance – Pappu, Tappu and Appu.” He further explained, “Pappu cannot speak the truth, Tappu cannot see the truth, and Appu cannot hear the truth.” Yogi alleged that these three leaders neither want to see, nor listen to the development work being done by the NDA government, nor can they speak the truth about it.

Who was Yogi aiming at?

Although CM Yogi did not take anyone’s name directly, his statement is being interpreted to have many meanings in the political circles.

  • Pappu: This word has often been used by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi by his political opponents. Yogi also accused Rahul Gandhi of going abroad and speaking against India.
  • Tappu and Appu: It is believed that this gesture was towards RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, who are part of the grand alliance.

Questions raised on RJD-Congress rule

CM Yogi reminded the old regime of RJD and Congress that during that period there were more than 76 massacres in Bihar and kidnapping had become an industry. He claimed that today there is peace in Mithila, neither riot nor anarchy.

“Bulldozer attacks criminals in UP”

Referring to his ‘bulldozer model’, Yogi said that in Uttar Pradesh, bulldozers are used on professional criminals. He appealed to the public to once again form the NDA government in Bihar under the leadership of Nitish Kumar so that anti-social elements and rioters cannot return.

CM Yogi had organized this rally in support of NDA candidate Murari Mohan Jha from Keoti assembly seat of Darbhanga. He appealed to the public to take Bihar forward on the path of development by voting for NDA.
