Let’s see what you need to make it and how you can easily make it at home:

Material:

  • Rice flour – 2 cups
  • Jaggery – 1 cup
  • White sesame – 2-3 tbsp
  • Ghee (to fry) – as required

Method of preparation:

  1. Soaking rice and grinding: First wash the rice and soak it in water for 3-4 days. Change water daily. When the rice swells well, take them out of the water and grind them lightly. You can grind it finely in a mixer. Let the ground flour spread on a cotton cloth and let the moisture dry, but do not let it dry completely, light moisture should remain.
  2. Rice flour and jaggery mixture: Add grinded rice flour and fine jaggery in a large pot. Mix them well with hands so that jaggery and flour are mixed together and becomes like a soft flour. If the dough looks very dry, then you can splash a little water, but do not add too much water.
  3. Making Anarsa: Divide this mixture into small dough. Press each dough with your hands and then wrap it in white sesame, so that the sesame sticks on both sides of the pomegranate. You can make them in any shape, but round or oval shape is more liked.
  4. Frying: Heat ghee in a pan. Ghee should be so hot that when you add Anarsa to it, it cooked slowly. Keep the heat slow to slow. Put one by one in the pomegranate ghee and fry on low flame till it turns golden brown. They do not have to turn, they cook from one side and then come up on their own.
  5. Serving: Remove the fried pomegranate and place it on the kitchen towel or tissue paper so that excess ghee is removed. When cooled, they become more crisp.

Heat-hot or cold, delicious pomegranate will further increase the happiness of your Diwali. Make sure to make them and feed your family and guests and gather their praise! Everyone will like this traditional dessert as usual.
