Odisha Self-Emmolation Case: Investigation did not confirm allegations of student harassment

News India Live, Digital Desk: Odisha Self-Emmolation Case: In the case of the recently revealed student’s suicide attempts at Fakir Mohan University in Balasore, Odisha’s Crime Branch has issued a big statement. The investigation team has confirmed that the allegations of ‘harassment’ (which were originally related to abuse and mental harassment) on hostel warden and a student leader by the student and other students have proved to be baseless. The team of Crime Branch has initially complained in their detailed investigation report that the students were initially harassed by the hostel warden. The matter was investigated in depth, in which all the evidence and statements of witnesses were tested. The investigation team found that the complaints were either withdrawn later or the students who had complained had retracted their point. The original statement of the student who tried this self -immolation has also come out, in which she did not mention any kind of harassment, but she only told that she had failed her examinations. In this case, the Crime Branch has not found any accused in the case – whether it is a hostel warden or student leader – in this case. All the allegations against him have proved unproven. At the moment, the treatment of the student who tried self -immolation is still going on, and according to the doctors, her condition is now being told out of danger.
