National Testing Agency (NTA) has made a very important official announcement for the candidates of NEET UG 2026. NTA has opened the online window for fee refund late Friday night. All such candidates who want to get the refund of their fees can visit the official website of NEET and login with their credentials and update the bank account information.
According to the schedule released by NTA, this online facility to update bank account details has started from May 22 and will remain operational till May 27, 2026 (till 11:50 pm). The agency has clearly warned that once the bank details are submitted, no change or correction will be possible in them, hence students should fill the form very carefully.
Why did NTA give this special facility to update bank account details?
Often students take the help of Internet cafes or Common Service Center (CSC) to fill the NEET exam form and the fees are also paid from their card or bank account. As per the rules, the refund amount by default goes back to the same account from which the payment was made.
In such a situation, NTA has taken this big step to stop money from going into the accounts of cyber cafes and to provide safe refund to the students’ own bank accounts. Now students can give information about any correct and active bank account on the portal as per their convenience.
