News India Live, Digital Desk: In the politics of Bihar, ‘Job’ is a big election issue and the grand alliance has been continuously surrounded the government on this issue. In this episode, Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has reiterated once again that if the ‘Grand Alliance’ comes to power in the state, every youth of Bihar will get a job. He made this claim during one of his public meetings, where he attacked the BJP (BJP) and the current NDA government fiercely and showed the dream of a better future to the youth.

Tejashwi Yadav’s ‘Job Promise’:

Tejashwi Yadav has been continuously insisting that the main focus of the grand alliance will be on employment.

  • Promise of job to every youth: Tejashwi said in his meeting, “When we came to the government, millions of youth got jobs in a few months. If the Grand Alliance gets a chance, he will give jobs to every youth of Bihar.” This is a huge promise, which can raise hope among millions of unemployed youth.
  • Attack on the current government: He accused the NDA government led by BJP and Nitish Kumar of failing to give employment to the youth. Tejashwi says that the present government is not serious about the future of the youth and only makes false promises.
  • ‘Showed what he said’: Tejashwi also gave an example of jobs given by the Grand Alliance government (when he was in power) in the last few months. He argues that his government gave several lakh government jobs as soon as he comes to power and if he comes back, this number will increase further.

How big and why is this promise important?

Bihar is a young population state, where employment shortage has always been a serious problem. In such a situation, the promise like ‘job to every youth’ matters a lot in electoral terms:

  • Focus on youth vote bank: This is directly an attempt to woo young voters, which is a big vote bank in the state.
  • Pressure on NDA: This promise will put a lot of pressure on the BJP and JDU -led NDA government to keep employment creation in its priority.
  • previous record: Tejashwi had counted the appointments made in education and health departments during his previous term (when he was deputy CM). Now it remains to be seen how realistic this promise is and whether any concrete roadmap is introduced to fulfill it.

Although political analysts also believe that fulfilling the promise of ‘job to every youth’ is a big challenge, but this is definitely an effective way to top the employment in the election agenda. It remains to be seen whether this ‘job card’ of Tejashwi Yadav will be able to reach him to the pinnacle of power.
