  • Delhi to Ayodhya: This bus will reach Ayodhya (about 656 km) via Lucknow.
  • Delhi to Katra: For devotees going to Vaishno Devi, this bus will go directly to Katra (about 684 km).
  • Delhi to Udaipur: People who are fond of visiting Rajasthan will now be able to travel comfortably directly to Udaipur (about 660 km).

These buses are specially designed for long distance travel, so that the journey of the passengers is smooth and comfortable.

Fare will be much less than private buses

An official of the Transport Department has clarified that the fares of these government AC buses are lower than the fares charged by private bus operators. Much less Will be kept. Although the exact fare rates have not been decided yet, the main goal of the government is to give people an affordable and convenient travel option.

Service will start in the coming months

It is expected that the first phase of this service will start in the coming few months. Initially some buses will be run and then gradually their number will be increased to 50. Officials have also said that there are plans to connect more new cities with this service in future.

An official also clarified that the lack of charging stations for electric buses on long distance routes is a major challenge. For this reason, at present Delhi’s interstate electric buses are limited only to routes of 245 to 250 kilometers. That is why at present only premium AC buses have been chosen for long routes like Ayodhya and Katra.

Overall, this step of the Delhi government is a big gift for millions of travelers who want to visit these popular destinations.
