News India Live, Digital Desk: On social media platform Elon Musk solved this problem ‘Topic-Level Filtering’ Feature has been launched. You can now prioritize specific topics in your feed, like technology, sports, politics or entertainment.
What is this new update? (X Customization Update 2026)
Musk has confirmed that after updating the app, when users go to the ‘For You’ section, they will get the option to select their interests.
User Control: Now you can just select “Technology”, after which the algorithm will show you more posts related to gadgets, AI and startups.
Get rid of unwanted content: If you want to stay away from politics or controversial topics, you can uncheck them. This will make the algorithm reduce the posts of those topics in your feed.
How does this feature work?
Update App: First of all, update the X app to the latest version on your Android or iOS device.
Go to the For You tab: Tap the ‘For You’ section of your Timeline.
Select a Subject: Here you will see many categories. Select the subjects of your choice.
Change of algorithm: Once you select a topic, X’s AI based system will place posts related to those topics at the top of your feed.

Not just feed customization, X made several other big changes in February:
Images in Polls: Now users can also add photos while creating a poll.
Grok AI expands: For premium users, Grok AI has now become even smarter, capable of giving summaries of long posts in the feed.
X Chat Standalone App: X has also started testing the beta version of ‘X Chat’, a separate app for its messaging feature.
