Pakistan spinner Noman Ali performed on the first day in the second and last match of the two -Test series between Pakistan and West Indies being played on the grounds of Multan. The 38 -year -old bowler took six wickets, including a historical hat -trick. This is the first hat -trick taken by a spinner in Pakistan’s Test history.

Noman Ali’s historical hat -trick

Noman Ali completed his hat -trick by dismissing Justin Greaves (1), Tevin Imlach (0) and Kevin Sinklair (0) in three consecutive balls in the 11th over of the West Indies innings. This demonstration is a milestone in Pakistan’s Test cricket. He shook the West Indies badly by returning the pavilion to the pavilion of the sixth, seventh and eighth batsmen on the first three balls of the over.

Noman’s special entry with hat -trick

Noman Ali has now joined the five bowlers of Pakistan who have taken a hat -trick in Test cricket.

  • Wasim Akram (2 times)
  • Abdul razzak
  • Mohammad Sami
  • Naseem Shah
  • Noman Ali

Interestingly, Wasim Akram, Abdul Razzaq and Mohammad Sami recorded their hat -trick against Sri Lanka, while Naseem Shah did so against Bangladesh in 2020.

Noman’s age (38 years and 110 days) makes him the second oldest player to take a hat -trick in Test cricket. Ahead of him is Rangana Herath of Sri Lanka, who did this feat against Australia at the age of 38 years and 139 days in 2016.

West Indies collapse in the first session

The West Indies won the toss and chose batting, but their decision proved to be completely wrong.

  • In the second over itself, captain Crag Brathwaite (9) was lbw out by Noman.
  • Micile Louis (4), Amir Jangu and Elik Athanaz could not even open the account.
  • The West Indies batsmen returned to the pavilion cheaply after another.

Kavem Hodge (21) tried a little, but failed to play a big innings.
The team lost 8 wickets within 54 runs. However, Gudkesh Moti (55), Kemar Roach (25) and Joil Warikan (36) fought in the lower order and the team scored to 163 runs.

Noman’s tremendous performance

Noman Ali took 6 wickets for just 41 runs in 15.1 overs. His performance strengthens Pakistan’s winning prospects.
