News India Live, Digital Desk: Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) has geared up to make the high school and intermediate examinations of the year 2026 ‘foolproof’. The Board has taken a historic decision to destroy the copying mafia and ‘copy changing’ racket. Now the candidates will have to check their answer sheet. Each page has its own roll number and copy number. It is mandatory to write.

Why was there a need for this strict rule?

Complaints were often received during board examinations that pages were torn from the answer sheets of meritorious students and replaced with copies of other students. To prevent this fraud, the board has implemented ‘page-wise’ security.

3 big features of the new system:

Tamper-Proof Copies: With roll numbers on every page, it would be impossible to change pages in between.

QR Code Security: This year there will also be a special QR code and secret logo of the board on the copies.

Color Coded Lines: Special colored lines have been used in the copies, so that photocopies or fake copies can be identified immediately.

Important guidelines for students

UP Board has warned the candidates to keep these things in mind before the commencement of the examination:

Clear Handwriting: Write your roll number clearly at the top or bottom of each page of the copy.

Avoid cutting: Do not do any kind of overwriting in writing the roll number, as it may create suspicion.

Time Management: Since information will have to be written on every page, students should save 2-3 minutes of extra time for this.

Strict instructions to collector and room inspectors

Invigilators posted at the examination centers have been instructed to ensure that before submitting the copy, the student has mentioned the roll number on each page or not. If any page is found blank or does not have a roll number on it, the responsibility for the same will lie with the concerned centre.
