Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has recently made a big announcement, under which the unemployed youth of the state will be given a ‘unemployment allowance’ of Rs 1,000 per month. What is the Chief Minister’s announcement and who will get benefit?

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in his statement made it clear that this monthly allowance will be given to all eligible youth who have not been able to get jobs even after completing education. Age limit and qualification for allowance:

  1. Educational Qualification: To get benefits under this scheme, it is mandatory for the applicant to pass at least 12th (intermediate). Graduation (graduation) or more educated youth can also take advantage of this.
  2. Age limit: Usually, the age limit of 20 to 25 or 20 to 35 years is set in such schemes. The age limit will be clarified in detailed guidelines issued by the government, but it will generally target youth.
  3. To be unemployed (Unepreed Status): As is clear from the name itself, this allowance is only for those youth who are completely unemployed and have no regular source of income.
  4. Behr domicile: Only the natives of Bihar will be able to take advantage of this scheme. The applicant should have a permanent residence certificate of Bihar.
  5. Other criteria: The government can also make Family Income Limit and other detailed rules for this scheme to ensure that the allowance reaches only the needy.
