Nifty rises 23 points to 23750

MUMBAI: Stock markets witnessed sustained gains today as foreign funds, operators, high net worth investors continued selling against lower activity in new buying, riding on holiday mood ahead of the end of Christmas, 2024. The fund’s favorite automobile frontline stocks are Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors along with Adani Ports, Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints in UltraTech Cement, Titan Company, JSW Steel, Grasim, Nestle India, Reliance Sensex. There was a decline from 78899 to 78173 and down by 0.39 points. Closed at 78472.48. While Nifty 50 fell between 23653 and 23855 spots and closed at 23750.20, falling 22.55 points.

Auto index jumps 417 points: Mahindra up by Rs 46 at Rs 2977: Tube Invest, Maruti gain

Local funds were buying shares of automobile companies today. The price of Mahindra & Mahindra increased by Rs 46.10 to Rs 2976.60, the price of Tube Investment increased by Rs 54 to Rs 3635, the price of Maruti Suzuki increased by Rs 159.45 to Rs 10,895, the price of Apollo Tires increased by Rs 7.35 to Rs 542. 45, Balakrishnan Industries rose by Rs 27.50 to Rs 2827.65, TVS Motor rose by Rs 23.05 to Rs 2448.45, Bajaj Auto rose by Rs 81.15 to Rs 8857.80, MRF rose by Rs 872.90 to Rs 1,31,245.25, Tata Motors rose by Rs 4.45 to Rs. .740.80, Hero MotoCorp was up by Rs 24.45 at Rs 4283.95. BSE Auto Index closed 416.76 points higher at 51772.97.

Among healthcare stocks, Aarti Pharma rises Rs 52 to Rs 636: Innova CapTab, Vijaya Diagnostic, Shelby rise

Funds were also buying stocks of healthcare-pharmaceutical companies today. The price of Aarti Pharma increased by Rs 52.25 to Rs 636, the price of Innova Captab increased by Rs 79.50 to Rs 1059.10, the price of Vijaya Diagnostic increased by Rs 48.60 to Rs 1095.20, the price of Shelby increased by Rs 8.50 to Rs 230.80. Solara Active increased by Rs 22.30 to Rs 685, Suven Pharma increased by Rs 31.55 to Rs 1147.70, Gland Pharma increased by Rs 45.60 to Rs 1825.50, Glenmark Life increased by Rs 18.30 to Rs 980.10, Divi’s Lab increased by Rs 96.70 to Rs 5880.45, Sun Pharma It increased by Rs 18.30 to reach Rs 5880.45. From Rs 23.90 it increased to Rs 1841.50, in Mahanagar it increased by Rs 23.85 to Rs 2035.85. BSE Healthcare index rose 197.91 points to 44289.95.

Adani Group shares rise: Adani Ports, Adani Green, Adani Enter, Adani Power rise.

At the end of the year, shares of Adani Group companies saw a rise due to inflow of funds. Adani Green NG rose by Rs 33.20 to Rs 1064.30, Adani Power rose by Rs 11.15 to Rs 507.20, Adani Enterprises rose by Rs 29.30 to Rs 2401.85, Adani Ports rose by Rs 61.35 to Rs 1243.90. Adani Total Gas rose by Rs 672.35, Adani Wilmar rose by Rs 1.05 to Rs 320.65, ACC rose by Rs 15.65 to Rs 2095, Ambuja Cement rose by Rs 6.70 to Rs 549.55.

Among realty stocks, Signature Global rises by Rs 48 to Rs 1332: Interest in Phoenix, Oberoi Realty

Today the fund was being selected in the shares of realty company. Signature Global rose by Rs 47.85 to Rs 1331.90, Phoenix Mills rose by Rs 38.85 to Rs 1728.55, Oberoi Realty rose by Rs 39.75 to Rs 2330, Macrotech Developers rose by Rs 8.60 to Rs 1410.65, Ananth Raj rose by Rs 4.90. Among oil-gas stocks, HPCL rose by Rs 5.95 to Rs 419.40, Petronet LNG rose by Rs 4.65 to Rs 345.30, BPCL rose by Rs 3.75 to Rs 295.60.

Profit booking continues in Reliance, Titan Company, Asian Paints, Nestle India, Zomato, Larsen

Today, among the top Sensex stocks, Reliance Industries fell by Rs 6.90 to Rs 1216.60, Titan Company fell by Rs 35.20 to Rs 3320.80, Asian Paints fell by Rs 22.75 to Rs 2261.40, Nestle India fell by Rs 16.30 to Rs 2150.50, Zomato fell by Rs 1.55. At Rs 273.20, Larsen & Toubro fell by Rs 14.05 to Rs 3628.25, Tech Mahindra fell by Rs 7.45 to Rs 1698.85.

Continued selling by funds, operators in small, mid-cap stocks: 2329 shares closed negative

Today the market sentiment remained negative due to continued selling in many small, mid cap, cash stocks. Out of total 4074 stocks traded on BSE, the number of declining stocks was 2329 and the number of gaining stocks was 1639.

Net sales by FPI/FII were Rs. 2377 crore cash: Net purchases by DIIs amount to Rs. 3336 crores

Foreign portfolio investors – FPIs, FIIs made a net sale of shares worth Rs 2376.67 crore in cash today Thursday. There was a sale of Rs 6632.98 crore against the total purchase of Rs 4256.31 crore. Whereas DII-Domestic Institutional Investors made net purchases of Rs 3336.16 crore in cash today. There were sales of Rs 8256.27 crore against total purchases of Rs 11,592.43 crore.
