Neither we lost, nor you won | Live Updates, Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

New Delhi, June 04 (HS). There is an old saying – Jai Jai to you, Jai Jai to us too. Neither we lost, nor you won. The result of the 18th Lok Sabha election has given an opportunity to both the ruling party and the opposition to hum this song.

First of all, these election results would have definitely strengthened the faith of the people of India in democracy. Restoring this faith in the largest number of voters in the world's largest democracy is in itself a factor. It was not that people had less faith in democracy before this. Yes, in the last few years, or rather say that the rise of Narendra Modi at the centre and his surprising victory of absolute majority for two consecutive times gave the Congress and other opposition parties an opportunity to spread the fear that elections are not fair, or EVMs are being hacked. The election results that came on Tuesday have proved these fears to be baseless. The reputation of the Election Commission of India has increased further. It will be discussed not only in the country but all over the world that how fair elections are in India.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was not mentally prepared for these election results. It is true that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made the elections interesting by giving the slogan of 'Abki Baar 400 Paar'. The opposition parties started trying to prevent the BJP from crossing 400. But the BJP and its leadership also knew the ground reality. That is why a big dream was shown to the workers to instill enthusiasm and make them more active. The election results show that even though that dream may not have been fulfilled, the BJP, which is the largest party for the third time in a row and is just short of the majority, is the real contender for power. People have expressed faith in the leadership of Narendra Modi. The National Democratic Alliance of BJP and its allies is moving towards forming the government with an absolute majority. Even after being away from power, the opposition parties are claiming as if the BJP has lost the elections. Whereas this victory means a lot to the BJP. After the first Prime Minister Pandit Nehru, Narendra Modi will be the only Prime Minister under whose leadership the BJP has come to power.

Also, BJP is going to form the state government with full majority in Odisha for the first time, which has given a lot of happiness. This victory of BJP in Odisha has come after a lot of hard work and continuous struggle. It was not an easy task to defeat Biju Janata Dal led by Naveen Patnaik which was in power for 15 years. At the same time, the alliance partner Telugu Desam Party is also going to form the government with a huge majority in Andhra Pradesh.

Political parties and political analysts will keep analyzing these election results for several days, not just one or two. But initially it is clear that BJP failed to understand the pulse of Uttar Pradesh, while in West Bengal Mamta Banerjee stopped BJP from moving ahead, and in Maharashtra also people did not like BJP's politics. Especially the results of Uttar Pradesh kept BJP away from a clear majority at the center. Samajwadi Party and its leader Akhilesh Yadav dashed the hopes of Modi-Yogi.

Initially, the biggest reason for this could be the OBCs joining the MY alliance once again in comparison to Ram Mandir, infrastructure development, mafia-free state. Samajwadi Party has been working on the strategy of joining Dalits along with Muslim and Yadav community since a long time. This time it adopted the PDA (backward-dalit-forward) formula. Akhilesh is also claiming that BJP did not have a solution to his PDA formula. This raises the question that will Indian politics and elections not get freedom from casteism then? BJP will search for the answer as to why its slogan of nationalism once again could not stand in front of casteism. Even after this, BJP should be happy that on the basis of the same nationalism, it is going to rule for the third consecutive time.

On the other hand, this is a time of celebration for the opposition as well. The Indi alliance formed to defeat Narendra Modi and BJP, which was named India to draw people's attention, has given tremendous results in some of its states. Especially in Uttar Pradesh, which decides the direction of the country's politics, the SP-Congress alliance has strengthened the opposition by making a big upset. Along with Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, Mamta Banerjee's leadership has emerged strongly in it. The Indi alliance may not be able to taste power at the center, but the performance of all of them together will definitely give a strong opposition. Doubts can be expressed whether this alliance will remain even if it does not get power or not. At the same time, BJP, which has remained far from the full majority, will also have a big challenge to keep its allies in control.

The Congress and the NDA alliance partners are more happy about the fact that they were able to stop the BJP from getting a clear majority than about their victory. They feel that the Modi government will be weakened if it does not get a full majority. There will be a possibility of a change in power by splitting the NDA's constituent parties. Signs and efforts for this started even before the full results were out. The opposition parties seem more happy about the fact that if they do not get a full majority, then perhaps the words of Prime Minister Modi will not have the same strength, the style will not be there, the threat will not be there. That is why there is enthusiasm and celebration in them even after being away from power. If Narendra Modi's slogan of crossing 400 has not come true, then the opposition's slogan of Modi is useless also did not come true on 04 June.

Overall, the elections of the eighteenth Lok Sabha have given an opportunity to everyone – the ruling party, the opposition and the Election Commission – to praise themselves.
