‘Invincible’ boon of Lord Brahma
Hiranyakashipu asked for a boon that his death:

No inside the house yes, no Outside.
No Earth But yes, no Sky In.
As soon as he received this boon, he started considering himself as God and ordered his subjects to worship only him.
Confrontation between devotee Prahlad and Hiranyakashyap
The irony was that Hiranyakashyap’s own son Prahlad He turned out to be a great devotee of Lord Vishnu. Hiranyakashipu made several attempts to kill Prahlad:

Then the pillar burst with a terrible roar and Lord Narasimha Appeared.

Lord Narasimha, respecting the boon of Lord Brahma, very cleverly killed Hiranyakashyap:
