Firozabad, 20 August (HS) The court on Tuesday sentenced an NDPS convict to 16 months of rigorous imprisonment. He was also fined. If he does not pay the fine, he will have to undergo additional punishment.
Rasulpur police station had arrested Shiv Shankar Rajput son of Kehari Singh resident Khanjapur on 18 March 2023. Police had recovered 400 grams of hashish from him. After investigation, the police had filed a chargesheet against him in the court on 3 October 23. The case was heard in the court of Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court No., Special Judge NDPS Atul Chaudhary.
Special Public Prosecutor Pradeep Kumar Chauhan, who is arguing the case on behalf of the prosecution, said that the accused confessed his crime in the court. The court held him guilty and sentenced him to 16 months of rigorous imprisonment. The court imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on him. If he does not pay the fine, he will have to undergo an additional sentence of 3 months.
