Waqf Amendment Bill: Emergency meeting of Ulema, Imam and Madrasa teachers was held at Handiwala Mosque in Mumbai on Tuesday amid a ruckus across the country over the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024. In this meeting, voice was raised against the bill and it was described as a well -planned conspiracy to seize the property of Muslims. The meeting was organized by Raza Academy. In which the president of the organization Alhaj Mohammad Saeed Noori Saheb said that the Waqf Bill 2024 is a conspiracy to directly seize the assets of Muslims, which will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Religious leaders present under said that this bill is an attempt to grab Waqf properties. Maulana Ejaz Ahmed Kashmiri attacked the government saying, “Waqf’s land is not the property of anyone’s father, he is the property of our ancestors and it is our religious duty to protect them.” He also said that “he is ready to make every sacrifice against this bill.”

Warning to political parties
Saeed Noori warned the supporting parties, especially Chandrababu Naidu, Nitish Kumar, Jayant Chaudhary and Chirag Paswan, saying, “If they do not openly oppose this bill in Parliament on 2 April, then the minority community will lose trust in them.” He alleged that “If these leaders do not oppose the bill, it would mean that they have sold their parties to the Modi government.”
