More than 200 deaths in 36 hours, many districts destroyed:

Heavy rain and floods wreak havoc in Pakistan and pok: Heavy rains and strong floods in the last 36 hours in many parts of Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupide Kashmir (POK) caused heavy havoc. According to officials, at least 214 people have died and dozens of people are injured or missing.

Where was the most damage?

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: The most affected, 92 deceased in Buner district alone; Dozens of deaths in MANSEHRA, Bajaur, Batagram, Lower Dir, Shangla districts.

According to PDMA, 198 deaths (14 women, 12 children) in the last 24 hours, many are still missing.

The government released 500 million rupees for the rescue, helicopters were sent, but a helicopter crashed into which 5 people died.

Relief and rescue operations

Food control rooms were made in all hospitals, medicines/equipment were arranged.

Relief campaign for the victims continues, damage to many roads, bridges and health units.

Waste in Gilgit-Baltistan and PoK

8 deaths, 2 missing in Ghizer district of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Dozens of houses, schools, hospitals, and roads damaged; Karakoram and Baltistan highways closed.

More than 600 tourists stranded in Neelum Valley, bridge and roads were washed away.

Landslide in Jhelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Sudhnoti, Bagh districts, houses fell, people lost their lives.

Monsoon havoc increased the crisis

During the monsoon starting from June, more than 325 deaths so far across the country, including 142 children.

NDMA and PDMA issued an alert – people settled on the banks are being shifted.
